"A day trip to Bendigo to see the Grace Kelly Exhibition" - isn't that a glorious sentence? Somehow the concept of day trips still sends a nanna like thrill through me and add stunning fashion from princess and you have me hooked.
When HD suggested organizing a group expedition/adventure to Bendiogo to visit the Bendigo Art Galley and their Grace Kelly: Style Icon exabhition I was excited; images of train travel, beautiful dresses and the sense of adventure filled my imagination. Despite ... Read More
When looking for a great lunch spot in Bendigo (especially if you are off to an exhibit at the Art Gallery) The Wine Bank on Viewis hard to pass by. Tucked halfway down the hill the gallery resides in this old victorian bank now wine cellar/restaurant/bar was a fantastic recommendation by HD. The gang and I headed up to Bendigo the weekend before Easter for a fantastic day trip to see the Grace Kelly Exhibition and had been trying to find somewhere for lunch beforehand.

Standing in the class room environment at Karricks Institute attending a cupcake decorating and macaron master class in not how I normally spend my Saturday's. But it was a very nice change.
Lamb and I booked the class using a coupon website (living social) way back in December and this was one of the first classes we were able to get in to - these things sold like hotcakes, well like cupcakes anyway! Apple and I decided to drive down but I hadn't really given much thought to parking in St Kilda - was it going to cost me more than the movie? I googled with little success ... Read More
Anyone else worried about my current obsession with the Melbourne Aquarium? In less than a year I have returned to this fishy underwater oasis in the middle of Melbourne to potter with the penguins, have fun with the fish and skulk with the sharks.
On Friday night Dee and I decided that a trip to the Melbourne aquarium would be a perfect summer outing (temperature controlled and dark) although I recall using similar logic justifying a winter trip lat year...hmmm I often marvel at my ability ... Read More
What is it about summer and watching films in unusual locations? I have just returned home after an evening in the Botanical Gardens at the Melbourne Moonlight Cinema.
It was almost the perfect night for the Moonlight Cinema with sunshine and a gentle breeze although it got a little cooler as the evening wore on (Dino impressed us all by bringing what seemed like dozens of layers from the depths of her Mary Poppins like bag) . We arrived at Gate E, right at the far end of the botanical ... Read More
