Merry Christmas 2011…
I am so pleased to get to wish you a very Merry Christmas for 2011. Driving though the city today it was nice to see so many people taking in our cities sites, photos at Fed Square, picnics in the botanical gardens and groups of friends and families dining in one of the many open restaurants. While I am spending the day with my some of my friends and family I wanted to take the chance to wish you a very happy day and magical end to the year. I also thought I would share some photos from The ... Read More

Jingel Jells….
Last night (Sunday) we headed out to Jells Park, City of Monash, to join in the festivities at their annual Christmas Carols event. While we spent most of the day checking the weather in the hope that the looming clouds (thanks Melbourne) weren’t going to bring rain down upon us we were relieved to see the event was set to go ahead rain free. We arrived about 7:30 and after a mini trek from our car to the venue we were pleased by the well positioned stage, plenty of space and a nice selection ... Read More

City Circle Sleigh…
When I was told a few weeks ago about the Melbourne City Circle Sleigh Tram I knew, with all my christmas addiction, I had to see it. At very worst it would involve some patient standing/sitting for an hour while I waited for all trams to make their way around the one hour Melbourne city loop (La Trobe St, Spring St, Flinders St and the Docklands). At best as is often the way at Christmas it would simply appear at the right time. So walking along La Trobe St this evening I was thrilled ... Read More

Chanel Noël Collection 2011…
As I mentioned the other day with the holiday season upon us could there be anything more festive than the Chanel Noël Collection 2011?       Well I guess there could be, say a tree all lit up... queue other festive images here...but really - isn't it nice sometimes to have something a little (or a lot) special for the festive season?       As an early pressie to my self and a major splurge I purchased the Lumiere Sculptée de Chanel highlighter and the Rouge Allure Laque in Empire 707 ... Saturday SnapBack – a cracker of a night…
Homemade Christmas Crackers may not sound the height of elegance - but they are a lot of fun! In July I hosted my first annual Christmas in July party but stumbled across a problem - no Christmas crackers were available in the shops! For me a Christmas lunch simply wouldn't be the same without a cracker with some random toy or trinket. So, my solution? I made my own!! Homemade Christmas Crackers were easy to make, perfectly matched my colour scheme and leave the door open for you to get a little ... Read More

Christmas in Melbourne…
Happy December 1st!!! (possibly Dec 2nd as am posting this quite late). Can you believe we have already come this far into the year? For those of you readers who have been with me for awhile (thank you) you will probably already know I go mad for Christmas in Melbourne and look forward to this time of year, well, all year! So in a belated tradition (my tree is normally up early November) I have finally got my tree up and mostly decorated! Isn't there something wonderfully cheering about a tree covered ... Read More
