Saturday SnapBack – a cracker of a night…
Homemade Christmas Crackers may not sound the height of elegance - but they are a lot of fun! In July I hosted my first annual Christmas in July party but stumbled across a problem - no Christmas crackers were available in the shops! For me a Christmas lunch simply wouldn't be the same without a cracker with some random toy or trinket. So, my solution? I made my own!! Homemade Christmas Crackers were easy to make, perfectly matched my colour scheme and leave the door open for you to get a little ... Read More

Hanging in there…
Is there anything prettier than shiny jewels? Perhaps - When they hang from my brand new crafting project!!A few weeks ago I realized my dangly earrings needed a new home. I had been hanging them in my jewelry cabinet but their length meant that they were beginning to tangle and I was retreating back to my no tangle studs. Blogopolis 2011 – Am I a real blogger now…
I am off to my first blogging event/meet this weekend - the giant Blogopolis which I am majorly excited (and very nervous) about. The day is set up around a series of MasterClasses lead by some of my favorite bloggers - celebrities in my world! I have been reading lots about the do's and don'ts for an event like this and one thing I realized was that I was totally lacking in business cards. Quel horreur. My blog is a personal past time an is funded entirely by yours truly so I never really thought ... Read More

Take a breath and become stationery…
I, like so many girls (and guys) out there have a love affair with stationery. There is something about it that compels me to stroke notebooks lovingly, look longingly at piles of card stock and insanely hoard writing paper that I stopped using decades ago. And then there are the accessories. The photo albums, ribbons, wax seals, scrapbooks, journals and special occasion craft project cards that I swoon for. Now in a dream world could I just combine these things with an environment that was worthy ... Read More

Shirt and Skirt Market at Abbotsford Convent…
When Dino invited Bean and I to join her and Mother Dino to the Shirt and Skirt Market at the Abbotsford convent we both agreed in a flash. The market, held on the third Sunday each month, is held on the gorgeous grounds of the convent located just off Johnston St. The market showcases crafts, knits, jewelry, leatherwork, odds and ends and...shirts and skirts. It sprawls across the grounds at the front and side of the convent and then inside (if you can find it). Upon arriving we all headed to ... Read More
