Designs on me…
On Sunday morning, in what is fast becoming a much loved tradition, I had a call from Sim proposing a spontaneous adventure, this time to the Federation Square Carpark and it's Melbourne Design Market. We arrived at the giant Carpark at about 2pm and the place was awash with People and stalls set up in a neat inner and outer circle of original and in some instances mega bargain designs. One of the nicest things was that it felt very Melbourne with a lot of really unique Melbourne centric products ... Read More

Take 2 Market…
When Sim invited me to join her at the November Take 2 Market at Hawthorne Town Hall I was happy to accept. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday! The idea of over 80 stalls selling budget friendly vintage and pre loved/bought but never wore fashion was right up my street. The market itself launched in 2007 by the enterprising (and lovely) Rina. It's held several times a year with applications open to anyone to hold a store. Most of the store holders were selling their old clothes, accessories and ... Read More

Don't you love rummaging through a good market - the Fitzroy Market is the perfect such rummagable market with car boot sales, Stalls a kids craft area and coffee cart. When Simone, Be Style Wise, suggested we meet there a few Saturdays ago I was really excited as I hadn't been To the Fitzroy Market before and was after a new dress. I loved that she had thought of it so that I could bring Binky too! The market is set up in the Fitzroy Primary School grounds (please don't type "Fitzroy Market" ... Read More

You'll be Gleadell you went…
For some reason I always thought if If I wanted yummy fresh fruit and veggies straight from the farm my beloved Queen Vic was my only option. I am not sure why looking for local farmers markets (which I lived off of in NY) never seemed an option for me here. And then I discovered the Gleadell St Farmers Market. Located oddly enough on...you guessed it...Gleadell Street Market in Richmond, this Saturday farmers market is a weekly or fortnightly visit for me. They have a great range ... Read More

Birds of a feather…
Don't you just love those Sundays that surprise you? Originally my day was meant to be about errands, brunch, more errands and cleaning. Instead, I spent most of the day with my friend HD, her dog and Binky. It was the sort of day when time flew past as we chatted, drank coffee, chatted lots more and had $10 manicures. It was a perfect surprise but has meant upon getting home I have a bit sorting out and tidying to do (oh joy). So rather than sharing the great cafe and super cheap mani salon with ... Read More

From Rubble to Riches…
I love it when the place I visit comes with an inbuilt cheesy heading for me, if you havn't noticed they are my preference. Rubble to Riches is a large Trash and Treasure weekend market in Laverton. On Saturday morning I was up unholidaily early (about 6am as Binky decided she was done with sleeping and wanted to be LOUD and ANNOYING) and there aren't many places one can go to that early in the morning that are dog friendly. On a Saturday. On a long weekend. For those of you who tweet, and more specifically ... Read More
