Fitzroy, Offspring and me…
So a few days ago I got an email from a writer with Time Out magazine who, while researching the role of Fitzroy in the tv series Offspring, had bumped into the blog. In May last year I convinced my friends to come on an Offspring inspired bar crawl (dubbed the OP or Offspring Plan) of Fitzroy so I could check out some of the places I had seen on the show. It took a little bit of research to identify the few places I wasn't sure of and then off we went. It was a great night with a follow up ... Read More

Look Up, Paton Building…
The Paton Building is one of those buildings that looks sweetly squished between two larger buildings as it sits patiently on Elizabeth St.   I actually hadn't intended to include this building as a solo feature in this set of posts (I just snapped the pics while photographing The City of Melbounre Building across the road (the one that houses my imaginary apartment and lifestyle) - read the post before you write that sentence off as crazy. Look Up, The City of Melbourne Building…
The city of Melbourne Building is one of the buildings that houses the fantasy inner city apartment of my imagination. Look Up, Buckley & Nunn Ltd…
I thought this week I would do a series of posts about looking up in Melbourne. Most people wandering about the city pay little attention to the stunning architecture so prevalent in our city. We seem to have wiped our ground level clear of the beautiful Victorian, turn of the century and art deco buildings that fill the city from the first floor up with generic (ok, sometimes glitteringly pretty) glass store fronts.         So over the next few days I will be ... The Melbourne Shop…
Can you imagine my delight when I stumbled upon The Melbourne Shop one fine afternoon? Tucked into the sweetest little space on Equitable Place, a small Melbourne laneway, this pop up store, a baby of the Lumbi brand, opened in December. As you may be able to guess this store specializes in all things Melbourne with a strong bent towards graphics. The owner of the Melbourne Shop, an enterprising Melburnian, was just the kind of man to take the inspiration of our awesome city (I use the word ... Read More

She absolutely was the cutest dog in the world! How many dogs knew how to work pink this well?Or just look so adorable?Look at that little face....
