I really like how random Melbourne can be and Heffernan Lane, sandwiched (or dumplinged or pita'ed - you will get this humor soon) between Lt Bourke and Lonsdale is a perfect example.
As a part of the Laneways Commisions in 2001-2 a Word and Ways installation was set up by Evangelos Sakaris. Now pick your minds up from the gutter. This is a PG (perfectly gorgeous) blog and for today I thought I would share some pics taken last year as Bean and I were frivolously extravagant and supped on Macarons from The Tea Room at the NGV while wandering about Melbourne. After browsing the NGV, gazing at the ceiling and having a lovely catch up we picked up a macaron each (Pistachio for Bean and my beloved Violet Macaron for moi) headed out for a stroll. The building, dated 1888 (cool year huh?), was built for the short lived ... Read More
I thought this week I would do a series of posts about looking up in Melbourne. Most people wandering about the city pay little attention to the stunning architecture so prevalent in our city. So over the next few days I will be ... Read More
Do you ever have one of those weeks when you don't seem to actually spend any time at home? Well that's the sort of week I am having so in lieu of an actual post I offer you some random pics...
Because when don't Macarons in cheerful colors brighten a day?
My new (and addictively easy) Nespresso machine
