Saffron good…
You may thank me later. Cafe Saffron, Readers. Readers, Cafe Saffron.Walking along the main strip of Ivanhoe shops you may not realize that you have just walked past Melbourne's best Indian restaurant (Big statement, I know). In fact you may not be the sort to normally walk this street but trust me, one meal here and you will happily traverse this pavement time and time again. I visited this wonderful place years ago on a trip back to Aus to visit the parentals but in my state of jet laggedness I ... Read More

Ya ya ya…
I feel like I am covering a lot of asian dinning at the the moment but when in Chinatown...A few weeks ago I caught up with an old uni chum on Bourke St. Our goal was one of the yummy and many (three) noodle/asian/japanese eateries all in a row. By default we met in the middle at the relatively newly opened Ramen Ya (also can be found in the GPO). Upon entering we ordered from a big board stylishly hanging ( can a board stylishly hang?) above the front counter. As the name suggests this place specializes ... Read More

Where you go, Migo…
He he he - it's so sad when my own blog titles make me laugh. Especially when I am sure no one else will. Allow me introduce you to Migo's a tiny hole in the wall Italian eatery located on Flinders Lane. I have walked past this place a dozen times and never really thought to look in, just another foccacia place amongst many or so I thought. While Migo's does offer a great pide range what keeps drawing people into to the tiny space to huddle around the few compact tables is the pasta. They serve ... Read More

Use your noodle, do the noodle dance…
The title of this one may elude the non Disney Chanel watches amongst you. PB & Jelly otter used to sing the Noodle song when you needed to have a think and come up with a great idea. The Noodle House located in Southbank was our central meeting place last week before we went to see a play at the arts centre. To find somewhere quick, affordable, not packed with Friday night drinkers and able to cater to our multi dietary requirements in proximity to the arts centre and respective work places ... Come dine with me…
I love it when a restaurant causes a stir in Melbourne - for some reason we seem to be the perfect size for this sort of news to thrive. A few weeks ago, when we visited Der Raum, Lamb mentioned a new Restaurant just up the road that looked interesting. She then had the chance to dine there and desperate to return pulled together the girls so she could introduce us to Union Dining, a newcomer to the increasingly (and surprisingly) gourmet Swan St. Walking up from the station I could spot the ... Are you mad…

Are you mad…
...for Mexican? I am! And am thrilled to have visited Melbourne Centrals latest edition, Mad Mex, a chain with one in Prahan and few in Sydney. It reminds me a little of Chipoltle in the states and for those of you to who that means nothing i shall just say it is a little different in style to Salsas. CJ and I headed here after we "liked" Mad Mex on facebook and got a 241 voucher. It's in the back right corner of the newly built food court and is unmissable with it's giant Corona chandelier - surprisingly ... Read More
