So our first stop as part of the OP (Offspring Plan – our plan to visit a number of the Offspring filming locations) was Radio on Gertrude St with it’s iconic play school round window and wooden chairs & table outside, cute but always surprises me how often I see people sitting out there so close to the road. This venue seems to be used quite a lot in the series for coffee and lunch. Dino, Coffee and I knew we were going to have a big night ahead of us – so little did we know – so we settled for an easy start of coffees(good) and fruit sodas. Yup – we know how to rock it.

This cafe/bar is long and narrow and is made by the giant street facing window and full length wall photo mural of Japan (please free to correct me with the city’s name) along one side. I loved the added touch of the vintage…is it vintage if I had one like this is a child?… radio in the front window. The bar itself was high and we we didn’t notice the alcohol supply around the corner until after we ordered (am ashamed to say this probably wouldn’t have changed our order).

We settled into the comfy window seats along with another group of girls and people watched, compared the number of people wearing black and grey stripes ( I evidently didn’t get the memo), sipped our drinks that took a while to arrive and planned out the night.

The group next to us ordered yummy looking pizza (cheesy and good for sharing not gourmet) and we decided it was time to get moving to our next venue.

As we were leaving it was great to see a nice looking garden/outside space at the back. Not sure if I would rush back but a nice place to wait for friends before exploring the joys Gertrude St has to offer.

**on our way back into the city we passed it and thought it looked very pretty lit as it was with tea lights
