I may have mentioned I am a little addicted to all things ‘i’. And all things “app” that seem to work so well with both my iPhone and iPad…
Introducing my new best friend when in Melbourne, shared with me by Lamb last night, Bar Bait!! This is a newish app that helps you find drink and bar meal deals near you.
Less than 24 hours after download a bunch of us used the handy push function to go out for $5 lunch time pizzas on Campari Rooftop, normally $16+ – bargain!!!
I believe the guys who created this are Melbourne based and am pleased to have such a great local app and lots more bargains at my finger tips.
To use the app you will need to provide your name, email and date of birth. It also works better if you allow push notifications. You then can bucket list the deals you like and redeem them at the venue – sounds complicated but is pretty intuitive!

I hope you enjoy!!!

Cheers. Might use this if I’m out this weekend. What other apps do you constantly use for your iPhone?
In have a few favs including:
Maps – bye bye melways
What’s App – helloo free mms and txts to friends in aus and abroad
Shazam – song identifier
Drink – bar finder but no deals
Kindle – a book with me wherever I am
Sleep Cycle – it’s cool
Pulse – let’s me read blogs and news on the go
Lol – I have so many I like but they are my tops, today at least.
What are yours?
Thanks! Unfortunately I’m not much of an app user. If I don’t use an app on a regular basis then I delete, thus the only ones I have on my phone besides the social apps are: translator, itunes remote and Heytell.
Heytell can be used as a walkie talkie if you can’t be bothered typing out your texts. Also good for some general fun.
I haven’t heard of heytell. Will have to look it up.
I am addicted to apps and my phone but am not a big fan of paying for them.
