Don’t you love it when some of your favorite things manage to come together?
There is something fantastic about people who can make you laugh. It is such a natural happy reaction yet one we don’t seem to use anywhere near enough. I must admit the person I find myself laughing at the most, sadly, is me. So, when I get the chance to go see a good comedian who can make me laugh I am thrilled. Even better when I can go see a host of them in one night.
I am also a big fan of taking climate action and living responsibly. Our planet is precious and we only get one!
Finally I love getting to look around old historic buildings and now a chance to do all three at once has arisen. You don’t even need to multitask – so boys no need to fear.
YCAN (Yarra Climate Action Now) a local climate group is hosting a Comedy Extravaganza at the beautiful old Fitzroy Town Hall. Last year they won the Yarra Sustainability Awards for local action group. They are a small team of dedicated and committed individuals who volunteer their free time and are trying to make a difference – I am thrilled they are doing something on this grand a scale.
The evening will have a great line up of the funny, smart, intelligent sort of comedians(my favorite sort) as well as a bar – yay!
