It’s nearly Melbourne Open House Day. Naturally celebrations will ensue. As I mentioned in my previous post I can’t recommend participating in this enough if you are in Melbourne.

Not only are you given entree (well allowed to shuffle through in an orderly line) but it’s a lot of fun just getting out and about in the city. I am, as always, eternally list driven and have worked out with the gang where we are headed on the day. My list may well have included a time plan – but let’s not dwell on that and instead recall my last two years where I was super flexible about straying from the list/schedule.

We are hoping to see the Plaza Ballroom (think medieval hall hidden under Miss Louise), the Royal Exhibition Building, Myer Mural Hall, Hellenic Museum and lots more. Half the fun in the day is allowing time for the wind to take you where it will, and remember to be spontaneous – you never know what you will find!

Places I have loved over the years have included Donkey Wheel House, Atheneum Library, Mission to Seafarers, Treasury and Tasma Tce (I want to live here).

MOH runs all weekend, 10-4 each day and is in it’s fourth year. The good news is that if like me you are off to Blogopolis on the Sat you can still enjoy all the fun on the Sunday. I can’t wait – it’s going to e a great weekend.
