She’s back with a giant purse …
Can you believe we are already well into the first week of 2012? After celebrating New Years Eve Melbourne style, outdoors under a blaze of gold fireworks, I am ready to get stuck into this already surprisingly warm year. Before I continue on my path of sharing my favorite Melbourne finds, restaurants, macaroonaries (yup, my very own made up word) and shopping spots and the odd purchase or dozen with you I wanted to say thanks for letting me share my adventures with you...nothing helps my justify ... My, errr aren’t your murals lovely…
I finally made it the Myer Mural Hall! There was an incident earlier in the year where I tried to follow some tourists in - unfortunately they had a run in with security so I hightailed it out of there and have had to remain content with craning my neck to peer through the gap in the window. Let’s have a yarn…
Bourke St Mall has been invaded by crochet knit, butterflies and flowers. All together. Walking through the mall last week I was charmed by how pretty and sweet something so spontaneous could look. For more information on Bali, the woman behind the art - http://www.twilighttaggers.blogspot.com/ While I heard someone raise the inevitable - art or vandalism? I am happily ... Read More

Byron Bay in Melbourne…
Byron Bay has made it to Melbourne! Byron Bay famous for a relaxed and often alternative way of life is also home to the scrumptious Byron Bay Cookies (and now macrons). This evening on the hunt for a vegetarian soup for dinner at David Jones (vegan red curry soup - success) I wandered around the food hall and stumbled on their new display. For me these cookies have been all about that little luxurious treat while traveling. I have tried them while flying, while waiting for a plane and have ... Read More

Am I going batty…
With all the build up to the big day (Tomorrow, Blogopolis) I have spent ages trying to work out what to wear. Yes, silly and girly I know. But these things are important. At least in my head. If I wear the wrong thing will I be ostracized? Become twitter fodder quicker than my foot steps in the door? So in an effort to prevent this being my fate I headed off to my beloved Bourke St Mall. Zara looked good but was still really busy and nothing was quite just what I wanted. David Jones was really ... Read More
