Crossing the Moat…
When a few months ago I heard that the Moat, a new cafe/bar/restaurant, was opening under the State Library in Melbourne I was thrilled. But then I dawdled and delayed and for some reason simply didn't find time to go visit. Silly me. Last Thursday in dire need a glass of bubbles Dino and I headed here for a post work drink and noise catch up. The Moat is located to the side and underneath the State Library near the entrance to the Wheeler Centre. You walk through iron gates, down ... Read More

Call the switchboard…
The Switchboard Café tucked into two small nook in the wall spaces at the foot of the Manchester Union building is absolutely enchanting in its very own quirky way. A plantation growing in Melbourne…
Have you tried cold drip coffee? I had never tried this delicious way of preparing coffee until a few weeks when I popped into the newly opened Plantation just on the edge of the Dining Hall in Melbourne Central. From the owners of St Ali and Sensory Lab those guys know coffee. We know that. But wow. Cold drip coffee is strong, rich has no hint of burnt (duh) and has this clean coffee taste I loved. So, you may have guessed I am very much a new fan! I was browsing through the small retail section ... Read More
