On a sugar high yet? Am grieved to say today is the last day of my cupcake-a-thon! Naturally, I will always be on the lookout for great cupcakes but five in a row I think is more than enough to tide us over for some time, yes? So without further ado let me introduce you to Cupcake Central. It's been open for about eleven weeks now in the newest section of the Dining Hall at Melbourne Central (Their Hawthorne store has been open about a year). It has an AMZING and rotating "cupcake central calendar" ... Read More

Cupcakes, Cupcakes, Cupcakes – Day Two…
I remember when I first realized cupcakes were about to take over Melbourne. One afternoon my sister appeared on my doorway clutching bags of city shopping and a small box. That small box contained two cupcakes from the newly opened Cupcake Bakery in Melbourne Central. It's a beautiful place to sit and sip a coffee or catch up with friends under the softly glowing arches with sunlight (if you are lucky) streaming ... Read More

Saturday Snap Back – The Tea Room at the NGV…
This Saturday I couldn't resist snapping back to my visit to the Tea Room at the NGV. Art, macaroons and cute teapots - could we ask for anything more? The Tea Room at the NGV Yes we could - a violet macaron! Bean and I went back a few weeks ago (when we went to the ManStyle Exhibition) and am delighted to report that Violet Macarons are back on the menu. ... Read More
