I am so pleased to get to wish you a very Merry Christmas for 2011. Driving though the city today it was nice to see so many people taking in our cities sites, photos at Fed Square, picnics in the botanical gardens and groups of friends and families dining in one of the many open restaurants.

Last night (Sunday) we headed out to Jells Park, City of Monash, to join in the festivities at their annual Christmas Carols event. While we spent most of the day checking the weather in the hope that the looming clouds (thanks Melbourne) weren’t going to bring rain down upon us we were relieved to see the event was set to go ahead rain free.

When I was told a few weeks ago about the Melbourne City Circle Sleigh Tram I knew, with all my christmas addiction, I had to see it. At very worst it would involve some patient standing/sitting for an hour while I waited for all trams to make their way around the one hour Melbourne city loop (La Trobe St, Spring St, Flinders St and the Docklands).
