Who’s being crafty…
...everyone at the Hawthorn Craft Market evidently. Feeling on a craft high after the Rose St Market I decided to head to the Hawthorn Town Hall Craft Market. Think Etsy meets nanna. The setting itself is a beautiful old hall with a stage at one end and a gallery at the other, I would liked to imagine a ye olde ball would have taken place there. As safe as the crown jewels…
...well perhaps not but much prettier than a hidden vault. This is one of those things that as a girl had I known it existed I would have day dreamed about. It's a little like stepping into Etsy. In fact many of the store holders are on Etsy. The Rose St Artists Market is tucked in a back street of Fitzroy and offers a wide range of crafty hand crafted goods. The mostly open air space is in a former junk yard and has been around since 2003.
