Years ago (pre teen) I lived in New Zealand for a few years and one of the earliest memories of my time there was being invited by a new chum to visit the Dairy. Great - NZ has cows as well as sheep. A visit to Maling Rd, Canterbury, is a little like stepping back in time, so every so often when you feel the pull to spend some leisurely time brunching and browsing this is the perfect spot. The verandah lined streets are filled with gift shops, antiques, boutiques, jewelers and cafes.
