Tucked away on Little Collins behind white washed brick walls sits one of Melbourne's newest Italians, Lupino. When I was told we were being taken to an Italian restaurant with pasta "like momma used to make" I was thrilled. I love those authentic feeling Italian restaurans.

When looking for a great lunch spot in Bendigo (especially if you are off to an exhibit at the Art Gallery) The Wine Bank on Viewis hard to pass by. Tucked halfway down the hill the gallery resides in this old victorian bank now wine cellar/restaurant/bar was a fantastic recommendation by HD. The gang and I headed up to Bendigo the weekend before Easter for a fantastic day trip to see the Grace Kelly Exhibition and had been trying to find somewhere for lunch beforehand.

There are some places in the Melbourne CBD that are just crazy busy every lunchtime and Kenzan at the back of the Melbourne GPO building is defiantly one of them.
This Japanes eatery has two locations in Melbourne with a more formal restaurant at Collins Place and this lanewayesque dine in and take away restaurant at the GPO. Kenzan inside has limited communal seating but the covered (and heated) lanewayesque area has plenty of seating options as does a small pace inside the GPO itself.

My most recent foray into the MFWF 2012 was to visit Persimmon at the NGV over the weekend. The gang and I booked online a few weeks ago to partake in the $35 express lunch and while none of us were familiar with the restaurant the location, price and reviews all seemed perfect.
