On Sunday morning, in what is fast becoming a much loved tradition, I had a call from Sim proposing a spontaneous adventure, this time to the Federation Square Carpark and it's Melbourne Design Market.We arrived at the giant Carpark at about 2pm and the place was awash with People and stalls set up in a neat inner and outer circle of original and in some instances mega bargain designs. When Sim invited me to join her at the November Take 2 Market at Hawthorne Town Hall I was happy to accept. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday! The idea of over 80 stalls selling budget friendly vintage and pre loved/bought but never wore fashion was right up my street.The market itself launched in 2007 by the enterprising (and lovely) Rina. Don't you love rummaging through a good market - the Fitzroy Market is the perfect such rummagable market with car boot sales, Stalls a kids craft area and coffee cart.
