Are you mad…
...for Mexican? I am! And am thrilled to have visited Melbourne Centrals latest edition, Mad Mex, a chain with one in Prahan and few in Sydney. It reminds me a little of Chipoltle in the states and for those of you to who that means nothing i shall just say it is a little different in style to Salsas. CJ and I headed here after we "liked" Mad Mex on facebook and got a 241 voucher. It's in the back right corner of the newly built food court and is unmissable with it's giant Corona chandelier - surprisingly ... Read More

Bye Bye Borders…
I fell in love with Borders the very first time I stepped through the wide open doors of the Chapel St store in November 2002. I loved the mountains and valleys of books so unlike anything I had seen at my little local Dymocks or Collins. I loved the late night opening. I loved the easy access to new releases from the US. The garden is entirely indoors and came complete with fake grass, deck chairs, picnic table and herbs you can pick (yipee). I was ... Read More

...stop the presses. Ok run them - this isn't world changing just a great chance to grab a bargain if you have been eyeing something off for awhile!Melbourne Central is having it's big Winter Shopping Day and what makes it different from any shopping centers sale is that for some reason the stores here really participate. Not just 5% off that table there or last seasons socks half price but a decent discount store wide - at lots of shops. So without further ado a few of my favorites...Alannah Hill ... Read More

Lady Melbourne reveals a whole new Melbourne central…
Lady Melbourne runs one of my favorite blogs and has today posted on Melbourne Central. This is a place I walk through twice a week at a minimum and her fascinating blog introduces a number of new aspects to the shopping centre that i had no idea about. Including a community herb garden. Where I can pick herbs for free. To take home!!! One of the pains of living in a city apartment and being a black thumbs is fresh herbs aren't really something I have access to. So I end up buying over priced ... Read More
