Walking on air…
Ok, perhaps walking on air is stretching the concept of silver shoes a little far but I have this thing for silver shoes (anyone else realizing how many things I have, well a thing for?) . I love their colour, shine and fairy tale quality to a point that a pair of silver shoes can make me stop mid walk to gaze longingly through a shop window. I like it even better when my silver shoes (and let me confirm I don't mean pewter, or gun metal, or grey) can enter the daylight instead of being evening only ... Read More

Happy Friday, Happy House….
¬†Given its a Friday (yay, yay, yay) and I accidentally forgot to snap a look up photo for today's post (I promise more are to come) I thought I would share a few pretty pictures of for those of you with a little Friday free time of my new desk and cushions.   There is something so lovely about decorating your own home don't you think? The Melbourne Shop…
Can you imagine my delight when I stumbled upon The Melbourne Shop one fine afternoon? Tucked into the sweetest little space on Equitable Place, a small Melbourne laneway, this pop up store, a baby of the Lumbi brand, opened in December. The owner of the Melbourne Shop, an enterprising Melburnian, was just the kind of man to take the inspiration of our awesome city (I use the word ... Read More

I had heard about this event several months ago when I met some friends for a birthday brunch here and had popped it into my diary. As a part of this event the majority of the stores on this quaint street had agreed to stay open until 9pm, many serving champagne and nibbles, and there was a roving ... Read More

Take 2 Market…
When Sim invited me to join her at the November Take 2 Market at Hawthorne Town Hall I was happy to accept. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday! The idea of over 80 stalls selling budget friendly vintage and pre loved/bought but never wore fashion was right up my street. The market itself launched in 2007 by the enterprising (and lovely) Rina. It's held several times a year with applications open to anyone to hold a store. Most of the store holders were selling their old clothes, accessories and ... Read More
