Every time I walk past this new development, Emporium Melbourne,  seems to becoming more facade less content.

It was sad and intresting (an odd combo I know) to watch so much of it being knocked down the other week and then last week all that was left was empty windows with daylight streaming through both sides.

I look forward to the new shops but am sad we seem to be losing so many of Melbourne’s beautiful old buildings in there name.

I also found a great realization video here - http://vimeo.com/30779660

How great does in make ths place look? And how amazing does it make Melbounre look? Also noticed on a mock up photo an apple logo prominent – does this mean we might actually get an Apple Store in Melbourne CBD?

  1. Another 225 special clothes shop, waste of time.
The world in shopping is changing, retail is tough, people would rather go to Chadstone all under one roof and FREE PARKING, or worse for retailers, buy online, its booming, its the future, here/now.
These 225 stores will just be shuffled from other locations in the CBD to this new flash joint, waste of time for mine, online will kill retail once the newness of this joing has worn off, or something else comes along
Look at the share prices of Myer and DJ’s, very very low, cannot make money on retail, its very hard.
    Godd luck to EM
