…stop the presses. Ok run them – this isn’t world changing just a great chance to grab a bargain if you have been eyeing something off for awhile!

Melbourne Central is having it’s big Winter Shopping Day and what makes it different from any shopping centers sale is that for some reason the stores here really participate. Not just 5% off that table there or last seasons socks half price but a decent discount store wide – at lots of shops.

So without further ado a few of my favorites…

Alannah Hill – 20% off storewide
(in a rich world I would buy the to die for pink bag with giant bow)

Country Road – 25% off full priced
(in a rich world I would buy the classic pieces)

Esprit – 20% off full priced
(in a rich world I would buy the bright green sweater)

Gorgeous Cosmetics – 30% off storewide
(in a rich world I would buy their glittery eyeshadows )

Lacoste – 30% off storewide
(in a rich world I would buy the plimsoles with the cute alligator on them )

Marcs – 20% off storewide
(in a rich world I would buy a black trench)

Oroton – 30% off storewide
(in a rich world I would buy dozens of bags and clutches and perhaps a black wrap )

Steve Madden – 20% off full priced
(in a rich world I would buy shoes…lots of shoes )

Who is Hue – 20% off storewide
(in a rich world I would buy some of the gorgeous bags this new shop has to offer – most especially the cushioned grey cross body bag – or the mustard hobo – or the…)

Ok so while I may not live in a rich world these great sales make it a little easier to spruce up the winter wardrobe!

There are heaps of deals across the centre and they are staying open till 9pm tomorrow night!!

Melbourne Central has really picked itself up over the last few years with four levels of shopping, some great brands,a herb garden (I couldn’t resist adding that one) and a real fashion focus I think for those who haven’t been here for awhile it’s time to go back.

And don’t forget their new food court is open with lots of great options for dinner.

  1. Do you remember that giant clock in Melbourne Central used to do fancy things (it would open, play music etc) on the hour?! Well I took some overseas visitors to see it and it didn’t do anything!!!! Very embarrassing

    • How could I forget it *grin*.

It’s still there but feels smaller than when I was a kid. I think they still play music a few times a day – or maybe just in the school holidays…

  2. Thank you for reminding me – I’ve been hearing about the herb garden, but haven’t been to check it out yet.
